ABOUT PEER CHANASI
Peer Chanasi is a Shrine and a tourist destination located about 30 kilometers (19 mi) east of Muzaffarabad, is the capital city of Azad Kashmir administered by Pakistan which is located on the top of hills at the height of 2,900 meters (9,500 ft).
The mountain peak has gained large fame for its Ziyarat of a famous saint, Sayed Hussain Shah Bukhari.

It is about two hours drive from Muzaffarabad city, road is very good with sharp turns, there is also a track for hiking to a neighbor peak which requires about forty minutes each…
The views are great and it’s cold. There are sheep and goat as well as a lot of tourists. Tea is available.
You can walk on the lush green, grassy land in summer, which covers itself in a white blanket of snow as the mercury dips down for winter in Kashmir, while a pure, refreshing but chilly air welcomes you upon your arrival.

In winter the temperature is around -9°C to 3°C and in summer its around 23°C to 20°C.
In summers, you have to be very smart to carry some light warm clothes as it gets cold in the evening.
