Mall Road is considered as one of the main hubs of the economic activities in Lahore. One of the reasons of the attraction of common man for Mall Road is Jinnah Garden (formerly called as Lawrence Garden). On the lower Mall road, opposite to Governor House, Jinnah Garden is one of the gardens in city that is trying to keep the title of City of Gardens to Lahore. This Garden is well known due to its botanical diversity and systematic design, The Garden has 150 varieties of trees, 140 types of shrubs, 50 types of creepers, 30 kinds of palms, almost 100 succulent plants and a large variety of flowers.
Jinnah Garden has a total area of 141 acres. Within this area, there are numerous parks, mosque and Quaid-e-Azam library situated in Victorian Building. For sports enthusiasts, there are multiple playgrounds in Jinnah Garden. Gymkhana Cricket Ground is also situated within the vicinity of this garden. Due to number of facilities in Jinnah garden, number of people visits this place every day to breathe the fresh air in Lahore.
